Summary of the role VP, Ceded Reinsurance (New Business), Corebridge Financial Location: New York, Los Angeles, or Houston preferred; other key locations considered Reporting to the Managing Director, Ceded Reinsurance, the role involves identifying, structuring, and executing reinsurance opportunities within Corebridge, managing the In-force reinsured portfolio, and maintaining relationships with reinsurers. About the role The Ceded Re group represents Corebridge's interests with industry stakeholders, reinsurers, government and regulatory bodies, and other partners. Identify reinsurance opportunities and execute transactions Oversee structuring of ceded reinsurance strategies Collaborate with the quantitative strategy group to evaluate opportunities Coordinate with Legal, HR, IT, and other departments to align transactions with strategic and operational plans Engage with all lines of business to understand reinsurance needs Present opportunities to leadership to optimize profitability Manage reinsurance programs for current and prospective business blocks Build and maintain relationships with reinsurers Respond to information requests and coordinate market data Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and governance standards Qualifications 7+ years of experience dealing with complex accounts Deep expertise in Life Insurance Products Extensive reinsurance structuring and transaction experience Experience developing multi-year roadmaps Market relationships for placement and issue resolution Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree or professional designations (ASA, FSA, CERA, CPCU, ARM) preferred Strong communication, influence, and facilitation skills What our employees like most about working for Corebridge Financial Professional development and career progression opportunities Community involvement with paid volunteer hours Competitive benefits and pay Generous paid time off: 24 PTO days, 17 holidays Retirement plan with generous matching and company contributions Compensation and Location Base salary range for NY or CA: $240,000 - $300,000, plus bonus and benefits.
