Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced  Central Sterile Technician for a 13-week contract in  Shreveport, Louisiana. This role supports a leading academic medical center’s surgical services team and plays a vital part in ensuring patient safety through proper sterilization, organization, and readiness of surgical instruments and equipment.

 

 

Assignment Details

  • Location: Shreveport, LA


     
  • Start Date: December/January


     
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks


     
  • Shift: Nights | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM


     
  • Hours per Week: 40


     
  • Setting: Hospital / Surgical Services


     

 

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Clean, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment.


     
  • Maintain accurate inventory and ensure adequate supply levels for the OR.


     
  • Adhere to strict infection prevention and sterilization standards.


     
  • Operate and monitor autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.


     
  • Collaborate with perioperative staff to meet patient care needs.


     
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.


     

 

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)


     
  • CRCST certification preferred


     
  • Minimum 2 years of sterile processing or surgical services experience preferred


     
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed


     
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
