Title Insurance Underwriter

Bankers Title Agency of Nebraska, managed by publicly traded underwriter Investors Title Insurance Company, is seeking an Underwriter for our Omaha Office. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of title services, supporting real estate transactions with a solid foundation. The position offers growth opportunities within a team environment, allowing development of underwriting, research, and customer service skills in a dynamic industry.

What Youll Do: Position Highlights

Customer Support & Communication

• Provide courteous, professional support to clients and colleagues via phone, email, or in person.
• Respond to inquiries regarding file status, rate quotes, and general title insurance information.

Title Workflow Administration

• Open and track title orders received via phone or email.
• Schedule closings, coordinate with closers and attorneys, and confirm details.
• Maintain vendor and lender records to ensure smooth order processing.
• Create and manage back title files and keep accurate logs of turn-around time.
• Record and process incoming search requests.

Underwriting & Production

• Review title searches and underwrite commitments, policies, and endorsements in compliance with company guidelines and evolving underwriting principles.
• Enter accurate title information to support timely and error-free production.
• Meet individual and team production standards for quality and volume.

What You Bring: Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in title insurance, mortgage lending, legal support, or loan processing.
• Familiarity with real estate transactions and title searches.
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing legal documents.
• Exceptional organization and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
