Position: Title Attorney / Underwriter-Hybrid

Title Attorney / Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Manage the title team and make Title Underwriting (UW) decisions
• Serve as the escalation point of contact for complex issues
• Review residential and commercial title searches for marketability and insurability
• Guide and support internal employees and external partners
• Collaborate with external underwriting counsel and clients on title matters

Qualifications

Required:

• Licensed attorney in good standing OR proven experience as a Title Underwriter
• Strong knowledge of title underwriting practices, state regulations, and industry standards
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to make sound, time-sensitive decisions within company and regulatory guidelines
• Strong organizational, follow-up, and time management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Valuable:

• Experience managing or mentoring a title team
• Familiarity with ResWare or similar title production software
• Prior experience in commercial and construction title policies and endorsements
• Licensed Title Insurance Producer
