Position: Technical Writer

Location: ONSITE in Austin, TX 78758

Duration: 6-month contract (extensions/conversion highly possible)

Pay Rate: $40-50/hour (depending on experience)

Conversion Salary: $80,000-100,000/year (depending on experience)

Must Haves:

• 3-5+ years of technical writing experience, specifically within process and technical documentation
• Experience creating instruction manuals, guides, templates, visuals, etc.
• Experience with CAD
• Experience working within a robotics or technology company
• Ability to provide technical writing samples

Plusses:

• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, or a related field

Day-to-Day:

• Creating Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation for various processes and technical aspects of our products.
• Technical Writing: Produce clear and concise technical writing, including process documentation and technical manuals.
• Field Services Documentation: Document field services activities, focusing on assembly instructions (excluding testing or repair instructions).
• User Interface Documentation: Create instruction manuals and guides for robot operations.
• Scene Setup for Robot Operators: Develop visuals, manuals, and templates to assist robot operators in setting up scenes.
• Technical Notices: Prepare and distribute technical information to relevant audiences.
• CAD Experience: Utilize CAD knowledge to ensure drawings and images are accurate and informative.
• Information Management: Organize and maintain documentation in Confluence and Google Drive.
• Technical Understanding: Apply strong technical knowledge to all aspects of documentation and communication.

IG Consultants: While on contract, you will be an Insight Global employee working for a particular company/end client on W2.

• Pay Day: You will be paid out each Friday and one week in arrears. This means you will receive payment for this week’s hours next Friday.
• Holidays/Time Off: While a consultant through Insight Global, the hours you work are they hours you will be paid. We do not offer paid sick days, paid time off, or paid holidays, except as required by applicable law.
