Job Title:Summer 2026 Research Intern - New Adhesive FormulationSummary:As a Research intern on our Adhesives team, you will contribute to cutting-edge research focused on developing sustainable debonding technologies for recycling applications. You will gain hands-on experience in formulation, testing, and advanced material characterization-collaborating with experts and presenting your findings to help shape the future of adhesive innovation.Responsibilities Include:Preparation of new Adhesive formulationsThe intern will be trained to prepare new Adhesive formulations using different raw materials and various equipment.Testing and analysis of the new Adhesive formulationsTesting of the above Adhesive formulations' properties, including mechanical properties, stability, aging, water swelling, etc.Use advanced characterization tools to analyze debonding performance, including, Instron tester, FTIR, DSC, NMR, rheometer, SEM, etc.Analysis and report of the experiment results.Qualifications:The following are required for the rolePursuing a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or other related majors.Have basic understanding of material structure-property relationships.Proficient in MS office.Program QualificationsThe candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.If you are interested in this position, we'd ask that you apply! #BePartoftheSolution At Momentive, we value your well-being and offer competitive total rewards and development programs.
