Your Role

As a Substance Abuse Counselor , you will play a vital role in the lives of your patients through individual, group, and family counseling. Collaborate with a dedicated treatment team, including our Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses, to address the clinical needs of your patients and support their overall well-being.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:

Curious about your responsibilities? Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Conduct intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
  • Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
  • Create individualized treatment plans within required time frames.
  • Identify and address clinical/case management needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling as needed.
  • Engage in at least 20 hours of direct patient contact weekly.
  • Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
  • Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
  • Act in the best interests of the program and protect company data.

Essential Qualifications:

Education/Licensure/Certification: Please refer to state-specific requirements for this position.

Experience Required: Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred but not mandatory.
