Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional in the field of special education, focusing on high school students. This position is designed for the 2025-2026 school year, offering a unique chance to make a significant impact in the lives of adolescents with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Experience working with high school-aged students, particularly those with emotional disabilities (ED)
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curricula accordingly
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students needs to create tailored educational programs
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to implement IEP goals
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
• Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings
