Overview Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an RN for the SMMC Special Care Nursery Level II NICU. The NICU RN will provide care to critically ill neonates and preemies as young as 32 weeks gestation. The nurse must be able to attend both low and high risk deliveries when needed and assist with stabilization and transport of infants born prior to 32 weeks gestation. This position will also deliver care to postpartum women and newborns on a rotating basis. Please take a virtual tour of our Family Birth Center at SMMC: Pay Base pay range: $42.43/hr - $71.67/hr Responsibilities Provide care to critically ill neonates and preemies, including stabilization and transport for infants born prior to 32 weeks gestation. Deliver care to postpartum women and newborns on a rotating basis. Attend both low and high risk deliveries when needed. Job Requirements Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. One year of related work experience is preferred or completion of NICU / Mother/Baby Education Program after hire. Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. This location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. National Certification Corporation (NCC) certification Low Risk Neonatal or NICU preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification completion within 6 months of date of hire.
