Craftsmen Contractors is currently seeking experienced Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics for the Panama City, Florida area. We are needing Ductwork & Sheet Metal Mechanics who have at least 1 - 2 years of commercial experience in the field and can work on their own as well as in a team setting. You will be working day shifts Monday - Friday starting at 6:30am. No per diem is offered. Weekly pay by direct deposit.

This is for an ongoing project.

You will need to pass a criminal background check.

Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics pay rate: $25 - $27/hr. depending on experience.

Job Duties:

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and hang sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings.
• Section cutting to assemble commercial rigid air conditioning duct work / systems, reading and interpreting blueprints of large chillers, specialized package units and also understanding electrical components such as lighting, panel boxes and building automation.
• Field fabricate, install and hang ducts and duct fittings, doing paperwork, adhering to company procedures, and following safety procedures.
• You will also help repair existing systems, test and examine systems for quality and make plans and material estimates for each project.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working with sheet metal and ductwork - at least 1 - 2 years of commercial experience required.
• Mechanics must be able to field fabricate, install and hang sheet metal/ductwork.
• Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Will need to have appropriate basic hand tools, all PPE and reliable transportation to get to the job site.
• You will have to pass a criminal background check in accordance to local laws and regulations.
