HVAC company in Greenville, SC is in the market for a Sheet Metal Worker – Duct Technician

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour (Depends on Experience)

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week (Monday – Friday); Rotating Weekends

MUST be able to pass a DT and Background CHECK

3 Years’ Experience Preferred

 

**Overview:**

 

We are seeking a skilled metal worker to join our team as a Duct Technician. As a Duct Tech, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment.

 

**Duties:**

- Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to the required dimensions.

- Measure, cut, and weld pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions.

- Connect pieces or secure seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.

- Inspect and test welded structures to discover flaws

- Monitor machinery for proper functionality

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations

 

**Skills:**

- Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding

- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

- Experience with metal fabrication tools and equipment

- Attention to detail and precision in work

- Physical strength and stamina for manual labor
