At Hyde Park Day School, we provide a supportive and dynamic educational environment for students with diagnosed learning disabilities. As a School Social Worker, you will:
✅ Make an Impact - Work closely with students, families, and staff to foster a positive learning environment.
✅ Provide Critical Support - Offer direct and indirect services, including crisis intervention, social-emotional development, and special education assessments.
✅ Collaborate & Grow - Join a team of dedicated educators, engage in professional development, and contribute to innovative school programs.
🎯 Conduct social developmental studies and assess students for services.
🎯 Plan and implement interventions that support students' educational and emotional growth.
🎯 Provide crisis intervention and consultation for students, families, and staff.
🎯 Maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation and progress reports.
🎯 Foster strong relationships between students, families, and community resources.
✔ Education: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
✔ Certification: Type 73 School Service Personnel Certificate (IL) + LSW or LCSW.
✔ Experience: At least one year of school-based social work & experience with children with learning disabilities.
✔ Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
💰 Salary: Starting at $35,000 (commensurate with experience).
