*This is a contingent opportunity The SAP Security Specialist is responsible for the administration and management of the Special Access Program for Headquarters United States Space Force (HQ USSF) Staff Security Office. Duties: * Ensure compliance with SAP governing policies, directives and other regulatory guidance; * Maintain awareness of all unit reorganizations and coordinate with supported organizations to ensure personnel security actions are in consonance with mission realignment (SAP billet and access management); * Manage day-to-day SAP operations and requests; * Manage and validate physical access to space staff SAP Facilities (SAPFs). * Maintain and ensure proper records management for security personnel files; * Coordinate, schedule and conduct indoctrinations, debriefings, and foreign travel briefings for all supported personnel under the SAP security cognizance or sponsorship of DSZ ensuring briefings are consistently accurate and presented in a courteous and informative manner; * Ensure compliance with special communication standards of SAP facilities under DSZ oversight; * Control transfer, storage, management, duplication, destruction and destruction of SAP information and materials; * Coordinate the physical transfer of classified materials between geographically separated facilities and training staff on appropriate procedures for carrying classified documents; * Provide on-site security support, access control and personnel escorting during SAP conferences, meetings, or as required to support an official engagement; * Investigating security incidents, conducting risk assessments, preparing written reports that identify contributing factors of an incident, conducting interviews, reporting issues, vetting personnel and other security incident and risk related, mitigation or preventative actions; * Conduct annual inspections to ensure compliance with SAP security policies and procedures; * Review and update local procedures as required; * Attend required security training, meetings, conferences as relative to assigned duties to remain abreast of changes, updates, trends, etc impacting the staff, security or program, or as needed to hone skills, knowledge of existing program and its implementation; * Receive and appropriately route security reports as applicable/required for personnel cleared to special programs.
