Radiology Manager Join to apply for the Radiology Manager role at AHMC HealthCare The Manager of Radiology Services provides leadership, supervision and coordinates department activities, ensuring safety to both patients and staff. Directs all human resource functions of the department, overseeing training and ensuring staff competencies and safe staffing levels. Develops and manages budget to meet department, organizational and patient‑safety goals and ensures regulatory compliance. The Manager ensures ongoing monitoring of departmental indicators and PI activities, reports activities as directed, and responds to the needs of the department by performing radiology technician duties when needed. Specific Job Duties Provides supportive and compassionate leadership to staff. Responds to staff requests in a timely manner. Ensures accurate and timely communication. Supports staff in resolving conflicts involving other disciplines and services. Coordinates department activities, ensuring safety of patients and staff. Acts as professional liaison with Medical Staff. Ensures staffing plans meet the needs of the population served. Determines staffing matrix. Posts open positions promptly. Expedites screening and interviewing processes. Ensures competency of all staff. Determines standards of performance. Orient staff to the hospital and department; ensures performance meets expectations. Accurately evaluates staff performance annually, per organizational timelines. Develops and enforces employee development plans when opportunities for improvement are identified. Promotes staff development. Maintains staffing at a level consistent with acuity calculations and a safe level of care. Develops department goals and objectives. Educates staff in PI methodology and promotes participation by all staff. Accurately prepares and reports departmental activities and findings on schedule. Develops and manages budget according to organizational goals and patient‑safety standards. Ensures annual budget review and revisions are completed as required. Reviews monthly departmental accounting detail for accuracy and facilitates corrections as needed. Performs radiographic exams in accordance with ARRT, CRT standards. Processes film and evaluates technical quality. Independently recognizes and performs duties without direct assignment. Establishes priorities; organizes work and time to meet them. Responds to priorities, accepts changes and new ideas. Displays insight into problems and develops workable alternatives. Accepts constructive criticism positively. Adheres to attendance and punctuality requirements per hospital policy; reports absences and tardiness promptly. Uses time effectively and constructively. Observes all hospital and departmental policies governing conduct while at work. Shows sensitivity to culture, age, and persons with disabilities. Develops peer relationships that enable the work group to accomplish the daily workload within the allotted time frame and achieve departmental goals. Uses proper body mechanics; seeks assistance when necessary. Maintains a safe environment and reports unsafe conditions. Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement program. Performs all other duties as requested or required. Education / Training / Experience Associate’s degree, Graduate of an AMA–accredited program in radiologic technology. Bachelor’s degree (preferred). Specialized training in nuclear medicine and ultrasound technology (preferred). Previous experience as a radiology technician.
