ROLE IMPACT
The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures accurate and complete benefit verifications during high-volume healthcare support projects. This role contributes directly to operational integrity by identifying quality issues, supporting corrections, and maintaining documentation standards. Success is measured by adherence to QC protocols and consistent delivery of timely, error-free benefit reviews.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review assigned benefit verifications for completeness and accuracy using standardized scorecards
• Post completed scorecards to appropriate job files and ensure issues are corrected before finalization
• Meet daily review quotas and document evaluations per established templates and quality standards
• Attend calibration meetings to align on quality expectations and share performance trends
• Provide actionable feedback to supervisors and proactively escalate quality trends
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 1–2 years of experience in benefit investigations or related healthcare/insurance roles
• Prior experience in team leadership or QA oversight strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform high-volume data quality checks
• Proven reliability in meeting deadlines and regulatory compliance
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Quality monitoring and documentation platforms
• Typing test: 30 WPM minimum (to be completed before start)
• Familiarity with benefit investigation and patient assistance tools
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Knowledge of reimbursement practices and patient support programs
• Experience providing QA feedback and trend reporting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
