Job Description

Willapa Behavioral Health and Wellness is searching for a full-time Psychiatric Medical Prescriber to work on the Pacific Coast in Raymond, WA. This role involves providing psychiatric diagnostic and evaluation, prescribing, medication management, referrals, and support for persons with mental health concerns. The position includes addiction diagnoses and MAT treatment, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, patient care direct service, maintaining paperwork, clinical documentation, participating in treatment team meetings, community meetings, and other administrative tasks as assigned. Responsibilities also include writing prescription medications and coordinating with pharmacies. Qualifications Education Required: A valid Washington State Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner License, or Psychologist licenses. Two years’ experience in Psychiatry, Primary Care, and Residential Treatment Facility required. Certification in Psychiatry is strongly recommended. Experience Required: A minimum of two years’ experience practicing independently with minimal oversight. At least three years working with individuals with mental health, substance use disorders, and other addictions. Skills Required: Ability to maintain good rapport with staff, provide supervision, direction, and support. Competency in working with a diverse population. Ability to work effectively with medical/nursing model and DSM diagnostics. Maintain appropriate boundaries, sound judgment, and a valid driver’s license with qualifications to drive based on insurance criteria. Able to drive in various conditions and meet Washington health care vaccination requirements. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Standing, walking briskly for emergencies. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Access all areas of the facility. Compensation and Benefits: Range: $150,800 – $153,920 Sign on Bonus/Relocation: $2,000 based on distance moved. Vacation: 4 weeks. Holidays: 12 recognized. Retirement Plan.
