Job Overview:

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, versatile, has a heart for the Lord, and loves working with children, families, and our staff. Our school is filled with amazing staff and families and we can't wait to add another candidate to our team! 

Grace Harbor School follows the Christian philosophy of Grace Harbor Church and all relevant legislation, policies, procedures of the state of California Title 22

A Faithful Infant Preschool Teacher:

  • Ensures the health and safety of all children and staff members while on the school campus
  • Kindly welcomes and assists students, parents and visitors in a professional, Christ like and friendly manner
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
  • Posses knowledge of the Infant/Preschool program and curriculum
  • Demonstrates a passion for Christ and His Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry
  • Believes that the Bible is God's Holy and Inherent Word and standard for daily living
  • Be a mature Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions
  • Able to lift at least 50lbs and sit, stoop, bend, lift, reach, stand, and walk for sustained time periods
  • Abide by code of confidentiality in all matters involving the children and families enrolled in the schools
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings and training sessions, including completing (12) hours of professional growth a year
  • Willing to change diapers whenever needed in a respectful manner

Qualifications:

  • Must have 12 ECE units (courses approved by Title 22 regulations) and an additional (6) IT units 
  • Minimum (1) year teaching in a licensed childcare facility
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with children, parents, staff, and administration
  • Able to speak, read and write English
  • CPR and First Aid certified (taken every 2 years with staff)
  • Physical and TB Test (clearance)
  • Proof of DTaP, MMR Immunizations - Influenza ( or can be waived)
  • Valid Mandated Training Certificate (for Childcare providers) and Pesticide Training Certification (Best Pest Management Practices Around Children)
  • Submit to Live Scan and receive criminal clearance from the Department of Justice FBI and attached to Guardian

Hours: Full-Time 40hrs per week
