This role entails representation of clients in criminal matters post-conviction, including appeals and sentence mitigation. The position requires strong advocacy skills and a deep commitment to upholding justice. Analyze trial records and prepare briefs for appellate review. Represent clients in post-conviction relief processes, including petitions and hearings. Collaborate with family law departments to manage overlapping legal issues for clients when necessary. Stay updated with the latest legal developments in criminal law and post-conviction relief procedures. Communicate effectively with clients, providing them detailed information about their legal rights and options. Negotiate with prosecutors and other parties to secure favorable outcomes in post-conviction proceedings.
