Portfolio Manager - PMO & Data Intelligence

Work Mode: Onsite

Location:  Onsite 4, Kohler, WI

Opportunity

As\na Portfolio Manager – PMO/Data Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in\nstrategic alignment, prioritization, and execution of Kohler’s capital project\nportfolio. This position ensures projects deliver maximum business value,\nadhere to governance standards, and maintain transparency through accurate\nreporting. You will collaborate across Business Units, Operations Engineering,\nFinance, and IT to optimize resources, manage risk, and drive continuous\nimprovement in PMO processes.

Core Responsibilities

Portfolio\nStrategy & Planning

  • Define\n and maintain portfolio scope, objectives, and success criteria aligned\n with Kohler’s enterprise strategy.
  • Establish\n and guide the control total for capital planning; consolidate demand\n across portfolios.
  • Lead\n prioritization frameworks to select projects based on business value,\n risk, and strategic fit.
  • Ensure\n accurate project entry and maintenance in portfolio systems (Planview).
  • Facilitate\n portfolio leveling to confirm financial resources are available for\n execution.

Governance,\nExecution & Reporting

  • Proactively\n manage the portfolio to align control total with the spend plan.
  • Conduct\n regular portfolio reviews with stakeholders to assess performance and\n reprioritize as needed.
  • Establish\n and track KPIs for cost, schedule, benefits realization, and risk\n management.
  • Collaborate\n with project leaders to identify risks, develop recovery plans, and\n escalate issues when necessary.
  • Recommend\n adjustments to project timing to maintain annual capital targets.
  • Prepare\n consolidated executive dashboards and reports highlighting portfolio\n health and progress.

Resource\n& Financial Management

  • Allocate\n and optimize resources across the portfolio to balance demand and\n capacity.
  • Partner\n with Operations Engineering to understand resource availability and\n skillsets.
  • Lead/support\n capital planning and budgeting, including multi-year forecasts and monthly\n variance management.
  • Collaborate\n with Finance on cost analysis, economic justification, and performance\n tracking.

  Stakeholder\nEngagement & Leadership

  • Serve\n as the primary liaison between Business Units, Operations Engineering,\n Finance, IT, and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive\n governance processes, project approvals, and vendor evaluations.
  • Contribute\n to PMO standards, tools, and templates; ensure adoption across project\n managers.
  • Share\n best practices and foster continuous improvement in PMO maturity and\n delivery outcomes.

Skills/Requirements

\n \n

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Project\n Management, Engineering, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA\n preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, MoP, PRINCE2, or\n Agile certifications strongly preferred.
  • Experience : 5+ years in portfolio, program,\n or project management within a PMO environment preferred.
  • Technical\n Expertise : Proficiency with Planview, MS Project, SAP; familiarity with JIRA or\n Clarity is a plus.
  • Leadership\n & Communication : Strong analytical skills, executive reporting capabilities, and proven\n ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Business\n Acumen: Experience in financial planning, cost control, risk management, and\n benefits tracking.

  • Travel:  Up\nto 10%, including international.
