About the Opportunity
- The candidate will join a small, collaborative team of investment professionals responsible for managing diverse, asset allocation focused portfolios.
- This is expected to be a high-growth position, with varied responsibilities and changing job duties at a rapid pace as a response to market demand.
- This position is hybrid and is expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
- Our hiring process prioritizes confidentiality. A small hiring committee reviews each applicant and information is stored securely. No applicant information will be shared with anyone outside of the hiring committee, today or in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to a highly collaborative manager research process with rotating soft specializations aligned with the team’s ongoing investment priorities.
- Build and maintain a suite of model portfolios for distribution for internal and external clients.
- Aid in building a content arm for clients and financial advisors to assist with market research, white papers, and other financial market content.
- Travel requirement: 0-25% expected. This team markets portfolios to in house clients in Knoxville, TN, Chattanooga, TN, and Raleigh, NC but also to advisors in a peer network around the country. Travel for educational events to these advisors a few times a year is possible but negotiable.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Research professionals seeking a transformational opportunity to broaden their expertise from asset class specialist to multi-asset generalist.
- Professionals with direct investing experience in public or private markets seeking to transition to an allocator role.
- Growth-minded manager research professionals currently operating within a generalist model seeking to further expand their knowledge and skill set.
- 3-10 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated, coachable, and passionate about investment research.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage complex tasks and competing priorities.
- Capable of working independently in a remote setting and comfortable doing so.
- Undergraduate degree required. CFA preferred. Placement within pay range is directly related to whether or not candidate has CFA.
