Physician Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician Inpatient Locums Job in Virginia | September 12-22 with Intermittent Ongoing Needs
Jackson and Coker is partnered with a facility located near the coast of Virginia that needs a PM&R Physician to assist with locum tenens coverage this coming September, while one of their staff members is away. Look forward to a short term assignment in September and being eligible to pick up future dates on an as needed basis.
Coverage need:
* Seeking inpatient coverage on September 12, 2025 through September 22, 2025
* Will work in the hospital from 7A - 5P and cover night/weekend call coverage for emergent medical issues with inpatient rehab patients ONLY
Details for Assignment #109270:
- Active & unrestricted Virginia Medical License required
- Active Board Certification required
- Can anticipate working in the hospital ever day from 7A - 5PM
- Will cover weeknight call coverage from 5P - 7A
- Preferred procedures: trigger point and knee/shoulder injections
- Average daily admission: 1-2 PPD
- Daily patient load: 6 PPD (max)
- Current staff: 1 PTE (no APP support currently)
- Hospitalists provide coverage over the nights/weekend for urgent/emergent medical issues with IPR patients, but PM&R Physician will still be contacted about IPR-specific issues as needed
- PM&R locums will receive calls from the Hospitalist for the following: pain and spasticity management, wound concerns, family questions, and therapy refusals, and new symptoms that arise during therapy
- Facility information: Epic EMR, 220+ bed facility, designated level 3 facility
