Job Description
-Transfer or assist patients from a hospital bed to a stretcher (gurney) or wheelchair and then transport them to their designated location.
-Ensure the safe movement of patients to and from hospitals and ALF's.
-Must adhere to proper body mechanics for safe transfer of patient's and self.
-Operate the Stryker electric stretcher and Braun wheelchair lift (Training provided).
-Engage and greet patients in a positive, compassionate and courteous manner.
-Maintaining a empathetic and professional attitude with patients as well as co-workers and hospital staff.
-Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push and pull patients sometimes weighing up to 300 lbs.
-During down time, wash and clean fleet transport vehicles.
-Clean, disinfect and fuel vehicle prior to the end of shift.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
