IDR is seeking a Palette Product Designer to join one of our top clients in Bolingbrook, IL. This exciting role involves contributing to a dynamic design system team, focusing on a major mobile app redesign. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Palette Product Designer:

  • Master Figma to build and maintain component libraries, tokens, and workflows, pushing the tool to its limits for scalable design assets.

  • Define and manage system governance, ensuring stability and evolution through contribution, maintenance, and versioning models.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure seamless translation of designs into code, focusing on cross-platform consistency for iOS, Android, and web.

  • Lead workshops and training sessions to promote system adoption and contribution across design and engineering teams.

  • Partner with UX research to validate new components and patterns, ensuring accessibility and brand alignment.

Required Skills for Palette Product Designer:

  • 5-7 years of experience in UX/UI or product design roles, with at least 2 years focused on design systems.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including building complex components and advanced workflows.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating system-level thinking and mobile app design for iOS and Android.

  • Familiarity with front-end concepts such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.

  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design intent and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
