Join Our Team as an Intern!

Job Summary:

Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of individuals battling opioid use disorder? In this exciting internship, you'll have the chance to work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including our Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Service Coordinator, Counselors, and Nursing staff. Together, we’ll ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients while gaining invaluable experience in the field!

Your Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will:

  • Observe patient progress during individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Engage in direct patient contact, including assessments.
  • Identify clinical and case management needs and work collaboratively to address them.
  • Assist with individual and group counseling as needed.
  • Report any abuse, maltreatment, or patient grievances promptly.
  • Participate in new patient orientation and learn about all services offered.
  • Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
  • Familiarize yourself with the Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 and 45 CFR HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to Local, State, Federal, and Colonial Management Group, LP (CMGLP) policies.
  • Act in the best interest of the program and company, protecting proprietary rights.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Essential Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university offering course credit for internships.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree relevant to the position.
  • Preferably completed introductory coursework in substance abuse theories and practices.
  • Clear a security background check and adhere to company policies.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards at all times.
  • Follow CMGLP policies and procedures diligently.
  • Meet regularly with your Internship Supervisor as required by your program.
