We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis of eye conditions, and the management of ocular diseases. This role requires a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, along with exceptional customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
*Duties*
* Work with the Dr. Office with any patients coming in that need Optometry Care and the eye glass store to see patients and prescribe lenses to them.
* Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
* Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments based on patient needs.
* Maintain accurate medical records and document patient histories.
* Provide education to patients regarding eye health, proper lens care, and preventive measures.
* Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
* Stay updated on advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
* Assist in sales of optical products and services, ensuring customers receive tailored recommendations.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye care.
* Proficiency in medical coding and maintaining medical records.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
* Experience or knowledge in sales within the optical field is a plus.
* Familiarity with vital signs assessment is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Work Schedule 10 am-7pm Sunday through Thursday
