Job Title: Operations Manager – Waste Hauling

Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily waste hauling operations, including route management, driver supervision, equipment coordination, and customer service. This role ensures efficient, compliant, and safe execution of all waste collection activities while maximizing productivity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of waste collection and hauling services across assigned service areas.
• Supervise and support drivers, dispatchers, and other field personnel.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams on new customer onboarding and service adjustments
• Plan and optimize collection routes for efficiency, fuel savings, and on-time service.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and serviced.
• Communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve issues.
• Respond to and resolve customer service issues, route disruptions, or driver concerns promptly.
• Maintain operational records, including driver logs, route performance, and maintenance schedules.
• Monitor compliance with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and environmental laws.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in waste management, transportation, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, route logistics, and equipment safety.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in route management or fleet tracking software
• Exposure to outdoor conditions and environments are expected.
