Medical receptionist needed for a busy ophthalmology office in the Bronx and Jackson Heights area.

• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone.
• Answer the phone while maintaining proper phone etiquette.
• Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including patients and clinical staff.
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying provider of patient's arrival being aware of delays and communicating with patients and clinical staff.
• Responds to patients or prospective patients and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders and monitoring office equipment.
• Follows HIPPA rules and guidelines to protect patient privacy/confidentiality including securing and protecting health information by not leaving in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.
• Bilingual Required (Bronx location Spanish) (Jackson Heights location Bengali, Hindi, or Urdu)

Job Type - Full Time

Candidate must be a team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment, must be computer literate/EMR. A pleasant personality with a clean and neat appearance is a must. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
