Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to expand market share within the aerospace and space bearing sector.
  • Develop cost-effective product solutions in partnership with Aerospace OEMs, aerospace system suppliers, and internal manufacturing teams.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of customer requirements to inform application development activities.
  • Translate customer needs into precise technical specifications and manage the specification release process.
  • Support the introduction of new technologies and materials into the manufacturing plant, and present advancements and test data to customers.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local universities and colleges to facilitate new technology testing initiatives.
  • Perform computational analyses of bearing designs to aid customer-driven new product development and ongoing product support.

Your Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Systems, Aerospace, or Metallurgical Engineering
  • 2+ years of design experience in aerospace or space manufacturing
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Unigraphics, Pro/E) for orthographic projection drawing, 3D modeling, and analysis
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to write clear work instructions for a shop floor environment
  • In-depth knowledge of bearing design and performance characteristics
  • Experience with MS Office and MS Access
  • Strong facilitation and teamwork skills
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employment visa or other sponsorship
  • This position requires compliance with Export Control regulations; applicants must qualify as a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Systems, Aerospace, or Metallurgical Engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of bearing manufacturing practices
  • 5+ years of design experience in aerospace or space manufacturing
