Marine Coating Painter - Clearwater, FL

Yellowstone Blast Services is seeking an experienced Marine Coating Painter to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. This is an Paint booth position , providing a stable and controlled work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled painter with experience working on marine vessels. Candidates should have 1-2 years of painting experience , including applying zinc-rich epoxy, high-solid epoxy, urethane topcoats, antifouling coatings , and plural-component coatings (a plus). We are also willing to train the right individual who is coachable and eager to learn.

Schedule:

• First Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Second Shift: Monday - Friday | 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• 90-Day Probation Period

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain proper paint thickness using a wet mil gauge
Apply coatings using High-Pressure Airless Sprayer, HVLP Pressure Pot, Gravity-Fed Gun, Dump Gun, and Plural Component Sprayer (preferred)
Prepare surfaces by pressure washing, cleaning, wire brushing, grinding, and sanding
Properly clean, maintain, and store paint tools and equipment
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a hazard-free workspace
Read and understand paint specifications & SDS sheets
Accurately measure and mix paint according to manufacturer specifications
Monitor and maintain coatings throughout application

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• 1-2 years of marine or industrial painting experience
• 1-2 years of telescoping forklift experience
• OSHA C-10 and C-12 certification (a plus)
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfortable working at heights, on scaffolding, or climbing ladders

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, and kneeling
• Regularly lift up to 10 lbs , frequently up to 25 lbs , and occasionally up to 50 lbs
