Manual Machinist Duties:

• Able to operate horizontal turning lathes, standard table mill (Bridgeport), vertical lathes (Bullard), and drill presses (Fosdick).
• Able to operate portable machinery: flange facer, portable mills, and pipe cutters.
• Must be able to perform machine set-ups without assistance. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
• Experience with tolerances of +/- .005
• Machining experience with oilfield parts, threads, and valves.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and produce precision work
• Perform quality checks on parts using inspection devices and be able to verify conformance of finished product to drawing or instruction specifications.
• Must be able to make dimensional reports or take measurements of the work completed.
• Ability to sharpen tool bits, different angular clearances, radii, and carbide or steel bits.
• Must be able to pass safety exams from Houston Area Safety Council.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Have a valid driver license.
• Know how to operate a forklift.
• Experience writing code for Daewoo Puma 18 & Toyoda MV1680 4-Axis Turning Center
• Ability to read and interpret customer-provided part drawings and convert to CNC programs.
• Experience programming both lathes and mills up to 5 axis
• Familiar with Fanuc Controls
• Experience in Solid Works is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for various materials
• Experience setting up and running CNC lathe and mills
• Experience in the oil & gas industry is a plus.
• TWIC CARD REQUIRED

Prefer a minimum of 5 years experience.
