Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel to join a top-tier Am Law firm with a national presence.

This firm is looking for an attorney with extensive experience in legal writing and a strong background in pharmaceutical/medical device Daubert and Rule 702 motions practice. This is a hybrid role and can be based in any of the firm’s U.S. offices listed above.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review discovery responses, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda

  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with the litigation team

  • Work directly with clients and expert witnesses

  • Supervise junior associates

  • Conduct factual investigation and assist in deposition preparation

Qualifications:

  • JD from a nationally recognized law school

  • Admission to practice in the jurisdiction of one of the firm’s U.S. offices (NY license preferred)

  • 8+ years of litigation experience, ideally at an Am Law 100 firm

  • Deep experience in writing Rule 702 and Daubert briefs

  • Experience in product liability litigation, especially in the pharmaceutical or medical device sectors

  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-office teams

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence and some flexibility for remote work

Compensation:

  • Expected base salary range: $400,000 – $500,000, depending on location and qualifications
