Lead Software Engineer – Clinical Health Technology

Are you passionate about shaping innovative software solutions in the clinical healthcare space? As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in steering development efforts that empower patients with life-saving educational materials before and after their medical visits.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you'll lead critical initiatives that enhance Electronic Health Record (EHR) integration, guide strategic technical projects, and refine our core platforms to deliver the right content to the right users at the right time. Your technical expertise and leadership will drive meaningful innovation in a collaborative, high-performing team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Architect and develop high-impact solutions that improve efficiency and reduce technical debt.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, product managers, and other key stakeholders to translate product visions into actionable technical plans.
  • Lead development efforts with a Test First approach, ensuring software quality and reliability.
  • Break down complex product requirements into structured development tasks.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technology trends, applying insights to drive technical excellence.
  • Support the evolution of cross-functional business processes.
  • Collaborate with other Lead Engineers to define best practices and foster continuity across teams.
  • Mentor junior developers, fostering growth and technical expertise.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration with engineering teams across Asia, Latin America, and the United States.

Your Experience & Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead software development teams, whether formally or informally.
  • Extensive background in building clinical healthcare enterprise solutions.
  • Strong experience integrating with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and eClinicalWorks.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI).
  • Understanding of the FHIR standard for healthcare data exchange.
  • Expertise in technologies including:
  • C# , .Net Framework, .NET Core
  • SQL , Git, Unit Testing
  • RESTful web services , messaging & queuing
  • Front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)

Bonus Points For:

  • Knowledge of metadata and taxonomies to enhance content structure.
  • Experience with Docker/containerization .
  • Familiarity with GitLab/GitHub for CI/CD and collaboration.
  • Background in PostgreSQL database management.
