**Lab Technician - Food Science** Science & Research Newark, CA, US + Added - 02/12/2025 Apply for Job Pay Rate Low: 18 | Pay Rate High: 20 Pay Rate Low: 18 | Pay Rate High: 20 Our client seeking a **Laboratory Technician** to perform routine analytical and laboratory testing, supporting food safety, quality, and operational teams. This role involves conducting in-process and final product testing, monitoring instrumentation performance, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication of test results. Located in Newark, CA 6 month contract with extension **Pay:** $18-20/hour **First shift** **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis, documenting results in databases and communicating findings both verbally and in writing. + Follow safe laboratory practices to protect yourself and others, maintain proper station functionality, attend safety meetings, and perform preventive maintenance and calibration of complex equipment. + Support trials and experiments under the guidance of senior team members. + Identify and troubleshoot issues with atypical test results, consulting with senior-level personnel as needed. + Maintain laboratory supplies by monitoring inventory, placing orders, and verifying receipt. + Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support tasks with minimal supervision, escalating only the most complex issues. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience. **This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
