Position Overview: IT Specialist

We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to manage and enhance our technological infrastructure in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will implement robust security measures, deliver expert technical support, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems in line with our business goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems to meet organizational needs.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including system outages, and provide end-user support.
• Develop strategic plans to optimize IT capabilities and ensure alignment with company growth objectives.
• Create and enforce policies and procedures to enhance system security and operational efficiency.
• Assess and recommend technology upgrades to improve performance and reliability.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates on workstations, servers, and software.
• Utilize tools like Microsoft SharePoint and Teams to streamline and improve business processes.
• Manage IT security protocols to safeguard systems against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assist with data backup strategies and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
• Provide IT support during employee onboarding and oversee website updates and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IT systems administration and support.
• Strong proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and network technologies.
• Proven expertise in cybersecurity principles and data protection practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage IT projects effectively.
• Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain clearance within six months of employment.
• Preferred experience in the military or government sector.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to meet job requirements.
