Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Location: Langley, AFB Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret (TS) with eligibility for SCI Certification: CompTIA Security+ (or IAT Level II equivalent) This role Supports Air Force and DoD systems by maintaining secure and compliant information environments, including those with TS/SCI/SAP requirements. The position involves cybersecurity management, technical system support, and coordination of protective measures for classified systems. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to Air Force cybersecurity rules and standards, managing security documentation, performing risk assessments, validating compliance with COMSEC, COMPUSEC, and TEMPEST controls, and maintaining asset records. The ISSO will oversee user access authorization, verify required training, and handle security exceptions or waivers when needed. The role also provides direct technical support for LAN, PC, and mobile systems, performs network configuration, addresses connectivity and software issues, and responds to incidents during and outside of business hours. Participation in long-term planning, system upgrades, and security improvement initiatives is expected. Requirements: Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI/SAP access; CompTIA Security+ or another IAT Level II certification; at least one year of network administration or system security experience; familiarity with Windows 10, Active Directory, and general hardware/software troubleshooting. Must be comfortable with Microsoft 365 tools and capable of working in a dynamic mission-support environment.
