POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Analyst will gain client exposure and will develop skill sets in the fundamentals of valuation, business strategy and client communication skills. In addition, given the firm's belief in staffing deals with smaller teams, this role will have daily contact with senior bankers. Ziegler is interested in candidates located in, or who would be willing to relocate to, the Chicago market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing valuation analysis and financial modeling for prospective and live transactions;
  • Assisting in the development and production of proposals and presentations to clients and prospects;
  • Industry and business research;
  • Interacting with members of corporate management teams and financial sponsors
  • Perform financial, business and market analysis with a special emphasis on reformatting financial statements and benchmarking key performance metrics;
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.


PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A BA/BS with demonstrated coursework in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics or related subjects (or analytical work experience in lieu of such coursework);
  • One or two years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, business, commercial banking or education;
  • Passion for education industry and finance;
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills;
  • Excellent computer skills (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Demonstrable self-starter and ability to complete and start new tasks without daily direction;
