Interior Designer I

Location: Baltimore, MD (Onsite)

Compensation: $50,000$60,000 base salary

Our Client, an award-winning architecture and design firm headquartered in downtown Baltimore, is seeking an Interior Designer I to join its collaborative Interiors Studio. This is an exceptional opportunity for an emerging design professional to build a strong technical and creative foundation while contributing to impactful, design-driven projects across hospitality, multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial sectors.

As an Interior Designer I , you will support the firms multidisciplinary teamworking alongside architects, planners, and graphic designersto deliver cohesive, integrated design solutions. From concept development through construction administration, youll gain exposure to every phase of the project lifecycle, refining your technical expertise and design sensibility within a highly creative, mentorship-oriented environment.

What Youll Do:

  • Contribute to conceptual design, space planning, and FF&E documentation under the guidance of senior designers and project managers.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to produce coordinated design and presentation packages.
  • Prepare drawings, renderings, and materials boards that communicate design intent and support client presentations.
  • Participate in site visits, design reviews, and construction administration activities to understand the end-to-end project process.
  • Maintain design documentation and specifications in accordance with project standards.

What Youll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Interior Design (required).
  • 1+ years of professional interior design experience in a commercial design environment: Multi-family housing, Commercial office spaces, Hospitality (restaurants, markets), Senior living (amenity spaces), Retail environments, Medical spas.
  • Proficiency in Revit (required); familiarity with SketchUp , InDesign , and Photoshop preferred.
  • Strong visual communication and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced studio environment.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for design excellence.
