You’ll be the go-to pro for processing applications, verifying participant status, preparing documents, and keeping everything HUD-compliant. If you know your way around eligibility, leasing, re-certifications, portability, rent adjustments, and terminations—and love keeping data accurate and organized—you’ll fit right in. Experience with Project-Based Voucher (PBV) or Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs is a big plus.
Review applications, verifications, and documents for accuracy.
Determine program eligibility and maintain up-to-date participant files.
Provide top-notch customer service to participants, owners, applicants, and the public.
Enter and maintain data accurately in program systems.
Coordinate with supervisors, managers, inspectors, and other team members.
Handle all personally identifiable information (PII) with strict confidentiality.
Ensure all work complies with HUD regulations and nondiscrimination policies.
Housing Choice Voucher Specialist certification required.
Experience with PBV or HCV programs highly preferred.
3–4 years in customer-facing roles, housing, or similar environments.
Strong analytical, organizational, and data management skills.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Solid computer skills.
Typical office environment; occasional standing, walking, or lifting up to 50 lbs.
Frequent computer work, talking, and hearing required.
