Job Description

BAYADA is currently seeking a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator! The Volunteer Coordinator supports our current volunteer staff and holds new requests for volunteer services. This role also involves recruiting and orienting new volunteers supporting our office in West Deptford, NJ.

We are seeking someone in office 20 hours a week!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan delivery of all volunteer services.
• Partner with all office staff in coordinating and supervising volunteer services.
• Assess and monitor a record-keeping system which includes services delivered and actual time involved.
• Recruit, interview and select volunteers.
• Design and supervise the orientation and training of volunteers.
• Facilitate and support volunteer retention activities.
• Monitor and evaluate volunteers’ performance.
• Assure volunteers’ compliance with policies and procedures.
• Stay current with federal and state volunteer rules and regulations.
• Answer phones, greet visitors and generate correspondence as necessary for office needs.

Qualifications:

• Provide excellent customer service and quality hospice care with focus on coordination and delivery of volunteer services.
• Four (4) year college degree required or relevant experience in hospice volunteer services.
• Strong interpersonal skills and goal achievement.
• Ambition to grow and advance professionally.
• Prior health care, home care and recruiting experience, a plus.
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
