National Grid's Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a year-long development program for recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry. Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we'll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one - putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.
Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, you'll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.

Our IT Graduate Development Rotational Program will provide you with the opportunity to be at the heart of this transformation. The program consists of an 18-month exploration consisting of three 6-month rotations in varying IT & Digital departments. Your rst rotation will be in the role outlined below and you will return to this role following two broadening 6-month rotations where you will solve complex problems and focus on growth that will transform the energy sector as we know it.

Join our Digital & Technology Graduate Program, where you'll gain hands-on experience across three critical enterprise platforms: Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Maximo (Asset Management), and Salesforce (Customer Relationship Management) . This unique rotational role will help you build a solid technical foundation, expose you to different parts of the business, and allow you to work on impactful projects that drive the energy transition.
This is a hybrid role with flexible days in the office for team collaboration, meetings, and training.

Salary Range
Brooklyn, NY $77,000 - $90,000 a year
Waltham, MA $71,000 - $84,000 a year
You must reside within our existing footprint, which includes contiguous states (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont). Our hybrid working approach applies to all colleagues who have a role which has the flexibility to be done hybrid across the National Grid group. Operational requirements mean that not all roles are suitable for hybrid working. Managers are responsible for determining whether a role is conducive to hybrid working. A hybrid worker should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to their assigned primary office.
