About the Opportunity:

A global consumer products leader is seeking a Government Affairs Manager to develop and execute public policy strategies that align with corporate priorities and drive business outcomes. This hybrid role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a sharp understanding of the CPG regulatory landscape and a passion for influencing meaningful change through public engagement and advocacy.

What Youll Do:

• Monitor local, state, federal, and international legislation and regulations impacting the CPG sector
• Lead the development of advocacy strategies to influence policy and mitigate regulatory risk
• Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, agencies, NGOs, and industry associations
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on legislative and regulatory trends
• Translate complex business goals into clear, actionable government relations strategies
• Represent the company in policy forums, industry coalitions, and public consultations
• Manage external consultants, ensuring alignment and effectiveness of lobbying efforts
• Support global public affairs initiatives and cross-functional projects tied to sustainability and compliance

What You Bring:

• Bachelors degree required (Political Science, Public Policy, Government Relations, or related field); advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in government affairs, lobbying, or public policy within or serving the CPG industry
• Deep knowledge of legislative/regulatory issues in plastics, packaging, tariffs, ingredient disclosures, and global sustainability efforts
• Established network of political, regulatory, and NGO contacts
• Strong communicator with persuasive writing and verbal skills
• Strategic thinker who can manage complexity, build consensus, and execute under pressure
• Global perspective and experience in international policy environments strongly preferred
