Motion recruitment has partnered with a financial Service company and looking for a Gen AI engineer for a long term contract.

Location: Concord, CA OR Charlotte, NC

Term: Hybrid

Interview process: 1st round virtual and 2nd round is FTF

Contract Duration: 12 months

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
• Generative AI: LLMs, vector databases, embedding models, vector search, RAG
• AI: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Scikit, Spark ML, TensorFlow, Keras, NLP (spacy, nltk)
• MLOPS: developing, testing and deploying models. AWS SageMaker, Ray Distributed systems / Big Data: Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, HBase, Cassandra
• Data Science: Python data analytics ecosystem (Pandas, Scikit, etc)
• Cloud: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
• Languages: Python, Java, Scala, R, Shell
• Datastores: Vector stores (MongoDB Atlas, Milvus), NoSQLs (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis), and SQLs (Postgres, MySQL)
• DevOps / Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Linux, git
• Experience in building scalable distributed systems Monitoring and performance tuning of Python / Java apps, Databases and distributed systems
• Experience in leading / mentoring focused teams to achieve excellent outcomes
• Experience in Microsoft suite of platform - Copilot studio, Power platforms and Dynamics 365

What You Will Be Doing

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
