FT Adult Probation Officer
Adult Probation Department BA/BS in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Corrections, Criminal Justice, or related field.
Knowledge of criminal code, counseling, psychology, sociology, social work, corrections, criminal justice or related work experience. Ability to write reports and
complete forms clearly and accurately. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to recognize and avert unusual and potentially dangerous
situations. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients. Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in somewhat familiar context. Ability to converse intelligently with others. Ability to analyze data to plan and implement programs of behavior modifications. Ability to establish and maintain
effective working relationships with court and social service personnel, volunteers, police,
attorneys, supervisors and associates.
