How you will create an impact: Handles 1 large Group Captive or 2 mid-sized Group Captive programs Underwrite Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability Casualty product lines and onboard new member business opportunities Collaborate with internal partners including actuarial, finance, operations, claims, credit, and legal Maintain clear and concise underwriting files and perform self-audits for other Group Captive underwriters Communicate risk appetite and Captive Solutions Value Proposition to captive intermediaries and brokers Work with Associate Underwriter, Operations, and Finance to ensure accurate booking and coding on accounts are completed on a timely basis Resolve account-related inquiries from internal peers and/or Clients/Brokers that are within scope; or escalate to leadership Participate in client (internal/external) conference calls and captive meetings Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Producers and Captive Intermediaries What you'll need to succeed: 3+ years of relevant professional experience; prior insurance experience required Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferred CPCU, ARM, ARe, or other insurance designation preferred Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships Demonstrated sales, marketing and relationship building experience Excellent verbal and written communications skills Highly motivated and results oriented Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to meet time-sensitive deliverables. For positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $93,000-$130,000 and for positions based in Illinois, the base salary range is $104,600-127,600 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
