Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately receive and execute trade orders from registered representatives, ensuring adherence to established trading protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with senior traders and external brokers to ensure timely and accurate trade execution and settlement.
  • Maintain comprehensive trading documentation including trade rotation logs, the best execution records, exception reports, and error resolutions.
  • Assist the Head of Trading with implementing process improvements and driving efficiency in trading and operational functions.
  • Contribute proactively to departmental and cross-functional initiatives that support the firm's broader strategic objectives.
  • Apply risk management strategies to minimize exposure and ensure trading activities remain within approved risk parameters.
  • Monitor fixed income markets and stay current on economic indicators, geopolitical events, and financial news impacting trading decisions.
  • Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify investment opportunities and inform trading strategies.
  • Share market insights and execution strategies with internal stakeholders to support cohesive team decision-making.
  • Leverage trading platforms and related technologies to optimize execution performance.
  • Keep informed of evolving trading technologies and integrate innovative tools to enhance daily workflows.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within trading operations to uphold operational excellence.
  • Stay current on developments within global financial markets and regulatory environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced credentials such as an MBA or CFA are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services in a trading environment.
  • Prior experience in fixed income trading or a related execution role strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, trading regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg and NetX360 platforms is preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 license required.
  • This role is not a remote position and must be local to Miami, FL area.
