Estate / Elder Law Attorney Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful communicator, skilled in building strong client relationships, and passionate about helping individuals plan for their future and protect their loved ones.

Estate / Elder Law Attorney Key Responsibilities:

  • Design customized estate plans that align with each client’s unique goals, family dynamics, and financial situation, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and other essential planning documents.
  • Advise clients on Medicaid planning, long-term care, and asset protection strategies
  • Represent clients in probate and estate administration matters
  • Stay up to date on changes in elder law and estate planning legislation
  • Participate in client education and community outreach events
  • Collaborate with paralegals and administrative staff to ensure high-quality client service

Estate / Elder Law Attorney Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Iowa
  • 3+ years of experience in estate planning and elder law preferred
  • Strong knowledge of probate, Medicaid, and trust administration
  • Experience with Real Estate and Corporate Law preferred
  • Experience in Social Security preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong willingness to network with other professionals
  • Empathy, patience, and professionalism in dealing with clients and team members
  • Ability to manage multiple client matters with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Proficiency with technology
  • Ability to follow proven firm procedures and policies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
