Electrician Helper

Responsible for assisting journeyman and apprentices by carrying material, picking up supplies, cleaning shop floor, etc.

Job Responsibilities

1. Gathers tools and supplies to be used at work site.
2. Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit.
3. Drills holes for wiring and pulls or pushes wiring through opening.
4. Traces out short circuits in wiring.
5. Assists in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors.
6. Performs minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches.
7. Maintains tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.
8. Disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces defective or worn parts, and reassembles equipment.
9. Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
10. Performs other routine duties.
11. Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Applicant must have reliable transportation.
• Position requires basic electricians hand tools.
• Ability to work with hands, multi-task.
• Some electrical knowledge helpful.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator's license & clear driving record to meet Company policy.
• Applicable state certification.
