The chair will report to the Associate Provost for Curriculum and Faculty Engagement and collaborate extensively with colleagues across Enrollment, Student Success, Career and Life Design, Global Learning, the Batten Leadership Institute, Graduate Programs and Continuing Studies, and faculty leading certificate programs.

The ideal candidate will hold a terminal degree (Ph.D., D.B.A., or equivalent) in business or a closely related field. A record of teaching excellence and administrative leadership at the college level is required. Preferred qualifications include expertise in one or more of the following areas: marketing, digital marketing, nonprofit management, finance, management, or business and the arts.

Candidates will demonstrate a commitment to:

  • Promoting liberal arts education
  • Developing women as business leaders
  • Advancing inclusive and culturally responsive teaching and mentorship
  • Supporting and promoting experiential learning and curriculum innovation
  • Creating an inclusive learning environment that supports all students
  • Establishing interdisciplinary collaboration and professional credential development
  • Engaging in ongoing scholarly or applied professional engagement

Additional responsibilities include hiring, mentoring, and evaluating affiliated faculty; developing global learning and internship opportunities; and facilitating program assessment and annual reporting.
