Nori's is a natural foods store and cafe located in downtown Saranac Lake.
Nori's is a hub of social activity where friends, neighbors and tourists alike come to "meet and eat." There is great satisfaction in nourishing our community.
Nori's is seeking motivated people who want to create quality, delicious food.
Most of the food we prepare for customers is "grab & go". The absence of a line/short-order scenario alleviates some of the fast- paced pressure of a traditional kitchen. All of our food is made from scratch, so it takes time and patience to make it right.
Our customer base is particular about ingredients. Ther- fore, we are diligent about presenting an array of offerings that accommodate everyone's dietary needs. (Common allergen concerns include nut-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan items, etc.)
We follow recipes closely to ensure a consistent product for our customers. Many "regulars" are accustomed to a particular presentation, and we want to ensure they have exactly what they're looking for each time.
It is not only culinary work - a small amount of it falls into the hospitality cate- gory as well. (Customers may summon you from time to time inquiring about ingredients, preparation, and flavor profile.)
We enjoy our day- to-day work, the periodic challenges it brings, and we have great amounts of fun while doing so.

The Deli Cook position includes (but is not limited to) the following:
Cooking & Preparing Quality Foods (such as soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries, sauces, dressings, and various preparations)
Coordinating Food Production with Others
Cleaning, Sanitizing and Maintaining All Aspects of the Kitchen
It is a fast-paced position that requires someone who is efficient, likes undertaking detailed lists and of course, someone who enjoys good food.
You will work collaboratively with your fellow cooks, sharing ideas and strategies to create the highest quality foods.
