SystemsAccountants is partnering with a client in the hospitality and entertainment sector to identify a Data Analyst who will join their finance team and drive analytics initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence strategic decisions.

Location: Hybrid in New York City

Compensation: $90,000 $120,000

About the Role

The Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across departments including Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Food & Beverage to analyze datasets, build models, and deliver reporting that supports data-driven decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to shape analytical best practices and contribute to a culture where data informs every major business decision.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex datasets using SQL, Python, and BI tools to generate insights that drive business outcomes
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, models, and reports that enable leadership and operational teams to make informed decisions
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define problems, establish metrics, and translate questions into structured analytical frameworks
  • Present findings through visualizations, presentations, and narratives that make complex statistical concepts accessible to non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to identify high-impact datasets, optimize data structures, and streamline processes for faster insight delivery
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical standards and practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline
  • Three to five years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL with demonstrated experience querying large, complex datasets
  • Strong Python skills for data manipulation, analysis, and automation
  • Experience building models and performing analytics outside of Excel
  • Ability to communicate statistical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in gaming, leisure, entertainment, or financial services is highly preferred
